Ten years ago, this coal town was alive and well. There was a plethora of jobs and so much money going into the economy that it was hard to keep up with. That might be making a comeback now with Trump in office

“We’re optimistic and hopeful,” Chris Hamilton, vice president of the West Virginia Coal Association, said before the announcement.

Hamilton, who began in the industry as a coal miner right out of high school, said he’s seen more movement and interest in West Virginia coal from the investment firms. Starting in November, there’s been an growth in pricing levels and growth in coal operations that he largely comes from Trump.

This is what we are going to see more and more of with Trump at the helm. He is going to get these once sought after markets alive and rolling again. Obama killed the industry with his many heavy regulations that were designed to kill off the coal industry. Trump finally says that it is time to take it back to where it belongs.
